Constructed between 1551 and 1652 by three generations of Mewar rulers, Jagmandir historically served as a summer retreat and royal sanctuary. Its prominent architectural features include the row of eight life-sized stone elephants guarding the waterfront jetty, the Gul Mahal pavilion with its domed octagonal structure, and the expansive Kunwarpada courtyard shaded by ancient bougainvillea and palm trees.
